Youth Employment Service Announces Leadership Changes

EXISTING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR STEPPING DOWN, BOARD OF DIRECTORS PRESIDENT NAMED INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

[Santa Ana, CA, November 7, 2022] – Sheeva Lotfian, Executive Director for Youth Employment Service (YES), has announced that she will be transitioning out the organization, effective November 11, 2022. Sheeva led YES through one of its most formative periods and drove a historically impactful year, serving over 800 clients in 2022. Eager to broaden her skills and navigate new challenges, Sheeva will now serve in a new capacity for a local foundation. YES wishes Sheeva well and we are grateful for her years of dedication and leadership.

Zeshaan Younus, who currently serves as Board President or YES, will assume the role of Interim Executive Director while we work through the transition.

Zeshaan, currently Senior Account Manager for Curt Pringle & Associates, has a strong foundation in government affairs, land-use consulting, corporate relations, strategic planning, and non-profit management. He specializes in the successful delivery of client perspectives across the private, public, and non-profit sectors. He began his service to YES as a volunteer and has been on the Board of Directors for nearly 6 years.

In his current role as Board President, Zeshaan is laser-focused on qualitative local impact, capacity building, and metric-based program delivery. Regarding Sheeva’s transition, Zeshaan says: “We have the utmost confidence in Sheeva and wish her nothing but the best as she continues to grow professionally. Sheeva led YES through some of its darkest days during the height of the pandemic and never missed a step. It has been a privilege to see how her kindness and compassion has transformed this organization. Finding someone who can fill her role will be no easy endeavor but we look forward to the future of YES – there is no doubt it will be bright.”
